Happy days when everyone puts down their lime and soda and starts thinking about booze. again.
We think this artisan home brewing course at the the queen's arms
in Corton Denham is the perfect way to celebrate the end of dry Jan.
The home brewing weekend takes place 15-17 April and is being run by Dorset's award-winning brewery Gyle 59.
Here's how your luxury, beer soaked weekend will pan up. On Friday night there's beer tasting followed by a 3 course dinner from chef Ben Ambercrombie (we love his food, inventive and focused on the hightest quality ingredients).
After a night sleeping off the excesses (craft beer doesn't give you a hangover am I right?) you will learn all the basics of brewing your own, right through to bottling up, under the tuition of Jon Hoskins and Amanda Edwards, founder and co-owner of Gyle 59. More dinnner, more beer and 6 bottles of your own craft ale will be sent to you after the course.
Could be there a more perfect weekend for the ale-head in your life?
Costs £800 for two sharing a classic double room, with dinner and breakfast for 2 nights.
