For an alternative festival experience Valley Fest in Somerset’s picturebook Chew Valley returns this summer (4-7 August) with its gentle blend of great food and music in an unrivalled setting (you’ll find us sipping organic cider while the sun sets on the lake).
As you’d expect at a festival set up by a farmer, top knotch produce is key and this year all stalls will sell only organic food and drink.
There are sets from DJ Yoda and Jose Gonzales alongside a barn dance, raves for mini ravers (Junior Jungle), a midnight feast and a Sunday picnic. Friday night is themed White Wedding after the London club night – brides, grooms, vicars, crazy maiden aunts.
The emphasis here is on good times, it’s unpretentious, laid back fun, perfect for families. More information from www.valleyfest.co.uk
