Light Green in Castle Cary sells an interesting combination of organic and eco-friendly skincare products and make-up, teamed with organic and fairly traded fashion. It also has some vintage clothes (from the victorian era to the 70s) and one-off vintage jewellery, plus some homeware. It has an eclectic mix - and if you want to find somewhere to buy toothpaste without artificial colours or flavourings, or aluminium free deodorant, this is the place. It also sells Dr Hauschka holistic products, which are free from artificial preservatives. Plus, possibly the best bit about Light Green - its treatment room for weary souls. It has full body, Lomi Lomi and hot stone massages, as well as Indian head massages and Dr Hauschka treatments to name but a few of its holistic and beauty therapies. If you've got a room to paint when you get home, no problem as it also sells clay based, eco friendly paints for sale in beautiful colours. Something for everyone - especially if you're green.

Kevin Partridge at The Trinity Osteopathic Practice, 42 Bell Street, Shaftesbury, Dorset SP7 8AE  01747 851 726 There’s nothing sexy about cricked necks, tennis elbow or housemaid’s knee - but fortunately (for those in Dorset) there’s Kevin Partridge, a miraculous osteopath who seems to be able to fix pretty much anything. He has a light touch and steers clear of too much clicking or clunking, sometimes he uses ultra sound. Be warned, Kevin usually has a waiting list of at least a week but he’s worth it even if you do have to spend the intervening hours rigged up to a hoist.
